I planning to construct 5 storey building in 60X 40 Plot area. I would like to construct for Office space . Please advice how may columns and the dimensions of columns required .

Join date: Mar 2008		Dear Sir,
          The position  and numbers of columns depends upon the plan of the building.How ever the size of column and MS Steel provided in the column depends on the load coming or bear by the column. In my opinion it is better to contact any structural designer who can give the proper structure design after calculating the load, bearing capacity of soil and earth quake safety etc.
