I am contructing house at Pune. Can suggest flooring tiles which is best. I am confused in vitrified tiles and porcelain tiles. Both the tilts look like same but price difference is too much.

priya Join date: Apr 2010	Dear sudhakar Vitrified tiles are made by mixing silica and clay to form a non porous tile with glassy texture when porcelain tiles are made from porcelain clays. Vitrified tiles are tiles which have been processed in such a way that it has very low porosity (and water absorption) which make it stain resistant and very strong. Vitrified tiles are unglazed tiles. Their polish is achieved by very hard materials and they are very strong and durable, whereas porcelain tiles are glazed tiles and their durability is as good as the durability of the glaze applied over them. And glaze is not hard and scratch resistant as the vitrified tiles. From the above conclusion, vitrified tiles are better than porcelain tiles.
