I want to know that which side will be taken as North and which as South.
Ill first explain the stance.
The balcony is actually in North Direction and the Ground Floor Entrance is from North.
Then i live on Third Floor being floor system i have nothing to do,i mean not to enter and use the same entrance, we have seperate entrance seperate stairs in the east direction and my third floor entrance/main gate being in same east direction.
Our House is three side open.
Now what will i take the north of the building to be ?
Will i seperately look into for my own floor ?
and if yes then
Now will the east direction be the north of the building and the balcony side i.e. the north pole be the east of the building ?

Take a compass and stand on the Main entry door to your floor facing inside. Keep the compass on the floor. Align the 0 marked on the compass at 90* and let the needle swing and become stable. Once the needle stops and becomes stable see which direction it is point towards. That is the North for you. Do not align the needle with the 0 marked on the compass. This will give you a rough idea of the 4 cardinal directons.
