Type of expansion joints

1)
Swellable polymer / butyl rubber water stop strip that expands in contact with water , to stop water from entering sub structures.
Hydrophyilic Waterstop

2)
Closed Cell polythelene joni filler in rod or sheet form for structural movement joints in concrete , brick and blockwork

3)
Cork bitumen impregnated filler board is an ideal expansion join filler for water retaining structure  
applications include sea walls, roads, runways, hard standings, basements, subways and  

4)
Two part cold applied pouring grade polysulphide sealant for horizontal joints or gun grade for vertical joints

5)
Elastomeric selant


6)
One part polyurethane sealant for critical joints

Applications

Surface joints on bridges, elevated roadways, walkways, podiums, and car park subject to traffic.

Advantages
Movement +/- 25 mm max
strong fully encased steel channels
low compression - minimizes abutment load transfer
recessed gland - prevents wear and traffic impact
Neoprene rubber - Long lasting
skid resistant - channel rebeates moulded into surface
Low noise - neoprene rubber reduces impact tyre noise
surface water run-off - channel rebate and gland give rapid discharge of water


Installation

shall be installed 3 mm below road suface and 3 mm back from kerb face to prevent damage and wear from traffic
