Like S L Gupta mentioned, granite is a costlier option. Tiles would be a far more cost effective option without having to compromise on quality. I myself decided to tile my floor and I have been very happy with the results. The tiles proved to be a low maintenance and durable flooring option. I went for ceramic tiles since they provided me with the greatest variety to choose from. Whichever tiles you choose please ensure that you use a proper tile fixer. Poor fixing could cause a great deal of problems in the future. When I was getting my tiles fixed, my contractor used Roff Tile Bonder. He said that it was perfect for fixing tiles on a concrete surface. He said that it even works well in wet areas. Something to keep in mind while you decide on your flooring.
