|  Topic: Is it possible to fix compound wall iron gate weighing around 150kg on a 8"x8" r
Is it possible to fix compound wall iron gate weighing around 150kg on a 8"x8" rcc pillar? We can not give extra width for pillar footing due to space limitations. If possible please also tell me how deep the pillar must go below the ground level. |

Join date: Mar 2008 | Dear Sir, You can increase the size of pillar or column on length wise and keep it 8'' on width wise. put 6-8 MS Steel bars in the pillar with Rings @ 6'' center to center. Keep the foundation 3 feet in hard soil. Keep the length of hold fast 12'' to 15''. Thanks. | | |
