 Topic: PORTICO COST
Dears,

I have been discussing with one contractor for construction of my house around 1300 Sq ft.. the contractor quote Rs.1400/ Sq ft.. Price is not a concern question.. It has portico area of around 200 Sq ft.. The contractor says the Sq ft price also includes portico area and steps area of floor and small balcony area.. I am saying to reduce price for these areas.. He says it is the general practice only..

I could understand the price for Builtup Construction Area. per sq ft basis..however could not understand cost for Portico and others..

Could you guide me.. will generally include portico also to be included in construction cost...

       It is bargaining between you and contractor what he include or not. But partico, balcony and other projection count in 50%. I am in view that arrange your material do work on labour basis which will cost less.
