Topic: SLAB LOADING

Sir, 
      In Portico of 6.00 x 3.00 span -12 cm thick slab - double layered reinforcement- for the purpose of providing ornamental elevation rcc pillar of 30 cm dia to a height of 10 m. It is proposed a have a RCC Pedestal of size 0.45x0.45m x6.00 over the slab  which is 0.45 from continous span over which the column is to be place. Is it safe sir

Dear Anish
         In my view it is better to consult any civil / structural engineer for this problem, who will guide after inspecting the site.
