 Topic: Re. eccentric footing.
Sir,

   Iam constructing a house with G +2 . After building all the columns and the tie beam at the basement level, we added one more column in one of the corner . Does it have to be tied with the other columns at the plinth level or it can tied with the other columns in the roof level.  Pls advice. This column was added recently. We did not put the roof yet.

Join date: Feb 2013		The last column that we erected has eccentric footing. As it does not have much space on one of the side. I forgot to mention this in the question.

        There are three stages to connect or tie the columns given as below
1. At the plinth level. But as you stated that all the foundation work is completed and this extra column is laid afterword, then in this situation it is not possible to connect/ tie the column at plinth level.
2. Second stage is to connect the columns at door level. If your construction is at or below door level than connect the all columns at door level.
3. The third stage is at roof level. As you have not laid the roof than Connect  all the columns at roof level.
