Understanding the Role of Architects & Interior Designer

 Topic: Understanding the Role of Architects & Interior Designer
Hi everyone, I've recently purchased a 50x80 plot and I am hoping to construct a duplex house for myself this summer.  I have got in touch with some architects but I am really confused as to what role they play. For example, we are planning to have an island in the kitchen. We would like it to house the dishwasher, and maybe a refrigerator drawer, etc. Will the architect design spaces for this? What about the exteriors? Do we have to specify him the type and color of the roofing and so on? Do we have to hire an interior designer and an architect separately? If anyone could help clear this up for me I would really appreciate it!

Join date: May 2014		They design everything as per your requirements. 
They are needed for customized requirement. 
They know what is best as per the budget of the customer. 
They know what is latest in the market. 
They might be costly than hiring a labour directly but that expense will be nothing as compared to the solutions they give you for long term success.
