what should be used on chowkets before placing them to avoid termite attack 
if primer then which one

Hi Arvind: After the chowkhats are completed by the carpenter, dip the legs of the door frames in bowls or small buckets containing termite medicine prepared by adding prescribed amount of water such that around 2-3 inches of the legs are dipped. You may keep them dipped for around 5-6 hours. All the surfaces of all joinery items should be painted with termite medicine. The outer surfaces are then painted by sealing black paint. While inner surfaces (which would be visible after joinery installation) should be covered with chalk-mitti paste.
