|  Topic: demolishing old house procedure & cost
Dear sir, i planned to demolish my old house to construct a new house there. i spoke to building demolisher in bangalore regarding this, they are charging 1,10,000 INR for The cost of demolition and debris transportation of your entire building is Rs. 1,10,ooo/- (Rupees one lakh and ten thousand only). If you are giving all the salvage materials like wooden, iron etc.etc. to us than we will minus the cost of materials from the above expenses. If there are wooden doors and windows in your building then the expenses to you is nil, and in this case neither you have to pay us any thing nor we. we will bear the cost of demolition and debris transportation by taking away the salvage items of the building. Please suggest on this, the charge they are asking is acceptable, reasonable or not? aslo is this good to sell my doors, windows along with all old salvage materials? thanks in advance |

Firstly to see that the roof of the house is of RCC roof or wooden batten and and tiles roof. If it is battened roof than see the condition of wooden batten and if they are good than can be use making wooden door and windows frame or may be sale in good price. In case of RCC roof then MS steel of good condition may be used in building lintels etc or sale in market.The same the case of door & windows.The old bricks used in the house can be used in foundation of new house and broken bri cks can be used in fondation concrete and under floors. The old house have low level flooring and now you have to raise the floor level in respect to new road or street height and keeping in view flood level then most of debris may be used to raise the floor level.
If you want to sale all than contact 3 to 4 contractor and give to higher bidder. | | |
