Termite treatment chemicals to be mixed in concrete mixture

 Topic: Termite treatment chemicals to be mixed in concrete mixture
Dear All,

I would like to know if it is allowed to mix anti termite chemials to cement concrete that will be used on the basement levels.

It has been suggested per people that to avoid termites, treat the ground bfore placeing concrete below the footings, and in addition mix the chemical into the cement concrete.

I want to know if this is advisable and correct, as the chemical may interfere with the concrete setting, and strength. ?, and what is the correct method of anti termite treatment.

Dear Georage

Treat the soil with antitermite chemical at foundation level, in foundation and under floors before laying floor and all the wood work will be given anti termite chemical coat before fixing it. It is no worth while to mix in concrete. There are many articles about termite treatment at website gharexpert.com in safety section of construction. Link given below for ready reference.
