 Topic: can we use VBoard instead of plywood ???????
Hi ,

I am looking for the best alternative to alst for many years for my wood work ..and in course of research I got to know about VBOARD  which is called fibre cement board which can be replaced with ply wood and has many advantages .Below is teh link .

I like to know teh cons an dpros of these .

Anyone used Vboard /Sheer board/sheer ply instead of Ply wood and like to listen reviews for the same.

Yes everyone is usingplywood ..But I like to know more on fibre cement and why shud we use  onlyPlywood and why cant plywood be replaced with fibre cement ...in what it is bad

Join date: Aug 2018		You can go for fiber cement board. There is pre laminated fibre cement and available from 3 mm to 19 mm and more thickness.
In fact for shelfs and box of wardrobes prelaminated fiber cement board is better material.
Wood Cement boards are available in two finish one for exterior which look like wood planks and another plain which look like board but greyish colour


There is no harm just that most people are traditionalist. If you search old posts on this board people were against ACC blocks in place of red brick :-)
