Hello, Srinivasa this is beause of subsoil water coming up. This water is always salty, hence salt & stain on wall outer surface or inner surfaces appear on wall. due to this seepage of subsoil ater which penetrate up ward during mosoon period, and remove the paint applied on walls.
for this you have to give injection of chemical (chemcial treatment ) to stop the water cominng up.

Join date: Aug 2008 | Hi Srinivas, as pointed out by Nikita & Suresh, the seepage is due to subsoil water coming up. You can ask your contractor to add a water proofing layer to your foundation walls and use good quality cement.
The dark stains on the top is nothing but dead algae formed during rains. Use a good quality external paint and you will not see these stains on your walls. | |

Hi Srinivas,
Mr. Gaurva has rightly said to provided chemical bearier to stop seepage/subsoil water comig up.
first step, when your masonry work comes to G. L. , you provide water proffing chemical layer or black tar layer or thin slat stone/or thin kotah stone layer, which will stop the water penetrating up.
Second step, you provide another layer of black tar/water proofing chemical layer to masory works below the RCC copig layer.
third step, before refilling the soil in trenches, apply black tar/or water proofing chemical to the vertical surfaces, the refill the digged trenches.
This process will complete stop the water coming up & your colour and walls will be safe.
Thaks
