Alternative to river sand for wall plastering jobs

 Topic: Alternative to river sand for wall plastering jobs

Am in the advanced stage of constructing my home. Due to shortage of river sasnd plastering job is waiting.

I would like somebody to help in answering whether manufactured sand or rock quarry dust be used for wall plastering in place of sand.

What is the history of using maufactured sand forwall plastering

Is there any quality compromise if manufactured sand us used in place of river sand.

If manufactured sand can be used as replacement, then what ratio it is to be used with cement.

If you are having difficulties in getting sand go in for India Gypsum Stucco placster which can be directly applied on brick masonry without mortar backing. It is economical, environment friendly & durable as well. Manufactured sand is not a good option for plaster it is mostly used in concrete
