For calculating the cost of the slab, if your area of slab is without beam than the cost of Rcc slab excluding MS steel is Rs 80-00 per sq feet.and cost of steel bars is 72-00 per sft to the prevaling rates in july 2012. | | |

The thickness of RCC slab depends on many factors i.e. Span of the slab, concrete mix use in the slab and steel use in the slab.
However the thickness of slab should be 4.5'' or 5''. | | |

Then if i need to RCC 1200 Sqft = 152 * 1200 = 182400 lakhs would be rate .is it inclusive of labour + material ?

How much it cost inclusive of labour for pillar/beam/lintel/plinth/chejja per Sq:ft? This will help in calculating the approximate overall cost

Query on Labour
Cost for Roof:-
I have hired a small contractor (labour contract on sq.
ft/cu.ft) for centring works for my two storied house in mangalore.
The Contractor has now completed RCC for second floor Roof.
The contractor’s quotation for second floor roof RCC is Rs. 40.70 per sq. ft for 4 ½” thick , 10 ft
height .
The size of Roof is 41.50 ft x 38.20 ft(1585.30 sq.ft).
The Centring Contractor has made roofing by having flat
surface from bottom of slab and sloping on top surface of slab for easy flow of
rain water. The centre of roof has thickness of
6”and sloped either side on top surface to end at 4 ½”.
Do I have to pay extra labour cost to the centring
contractor due to increase in thickness of roof slab since materials(cement,
gravel , steel and sand) is supplied by me?
Kindly advise

Iam going to renovate my DDA flat.contractor quote me 820 rs/sqft (with material+labour,,for roof , walls , and columne). but i want to construct only RCC roof (with material and labour), then he quote me 750 rs/sqft.

The cost of laying of RCC slab with MS STEEL and material ,labor and shuttering should be Rs180 to 200-00 per sft. As you stated walls are already errected for old house. | | |

The labor cost of casting RCC beam and slab including centering and shuttering when calculating in cubic feet i.e. length x breadth x height ( thickness)= rs 85/ per cubic feet including the hiring charges of shuttering material. | | |

The cost can be calculated on the basis of design i,e. slope of stair, nos of steps etc. However if you are constructing RCC stair case than measure it in RCC rates as given above. | | |
