Topic: First Floor layout should be same as Ground floor?

Hi,

We are making two storied house.

The First Floor Layout Plan DO NOT match Ground Floor plan and builder will not keep extra beams to carry the load of first floor walls. Internal wall weight will be on GF roof slab.

Will this cause problem to us when we want to go for third storey in near future?

S L Gupta (Civil Engg) Join date: Mar 2008	Dear Geetika when you know that your builder is not making the necessary beams for taking the load of wall of the first floor than it is up to you to ask builder for doing the same. If that will not include in the contract agreement than now pay some extra and do the needfully which will be usefully for further construction. The other option is that you can lay the fresh beam under the new construction of wall where required in the building.

Geetika Join date: Oct 2010	Dear Sir, Thank you for your response. I asked the builder to provide extra beams. However, it told then the beams will come inside the GF rooms which will not look good. So we are thinking to make FF plan same like GF plan to avoid these issues. Regards, Geetika
