Topic: better way of laying electrical wires

Is it better to lay conduits (for carrying electrical cables) while casting roof or underground ( marble /stone) or false ceiling?

Could you advise the pros and cons of each of the 3 options:

1. While casting roof

2. Underground before laying marble

3. Before False Ceiling being done?

S L Gupta (Civil Engg) Join date: Mar 2008	Dear Ajay Conduit pipes is better if you laid during the RCC slab. It is equally good before false ceiling but some time their fitting may be loose. Conduit should not be laid under floor. Under floor there is problem of sanitary and water line , which cause leakage at any time.Also crossing of line is creates problem.

Actually for every room, we have laid one 25 mm while RCC slab being done but to be on safe side, i am putting one more 25mm pipe in False Ceiling! When you say, they may loose, means I need to ensure they are tightly clamped to avoid lose? Best AW
