Topic: putty coating

Dear sur,

Is it necessary to apply a coat of white cement before applying putty? How many coats of putty is necessary?. Is it advisable to apply putty on external walls immediately finishing construction or after 6 months?. Some suggests that air crack appear on walls and hence postpone the putty coating and few suggests that air crack can be rectified by patch works. And also please confirm can emulsion paint be applied without putty coating? kindly advise me sir.
Thanking you.

With Regards,
K Umapathi.

Go for putty or white cement, any one of them, both are not required, putty is good. Yes outer walls has to be covered with putty asap.

I came across an article on line about brand naming firms and ironically, most did not actually have good names! One that I did like a lot was “Eat My Words”.  It’s a unique business name, which is exactly what they’re trying to sell! I love it, if I ever decide to get up off the screen and start a business I would consult with  them.
