Alternatives to RCC roof.HI, I am looking for alternatives to RCC slab roof. The roof needs to be flat so it can use used as a terrace also.Please advice.

           There is many option such as stone slate roof, Wooden plank roof with wooden batten, Brick tile roof.

   Thank you for your response. Where can I get more details on the stone slate roof or brick tile roof?
   Also can these hold weight of 4-5 people.

           In the old days when RCC is not in use, the people constructed the house roof either  using stone slate roofing, or brick tile roofing or roof with wooden batten.
In Stone slate roofing, MS T- iron or MS girders are used and on it RED STONE OR KOTA STONE tiles are laid and finish the top as per requirement.
In the other option wooden battens are laid and brick tiles are wooden planks are used and finish top as per requirement. In urban area you can see on old buildings and in rural area these are in use.
   The roof can take load of 6-10 person.
