Extension of floor area in 1st floor

 Topic: Extension of floor area in 1st floor
Respected sir,
I am having a house of roof area of 1000sq. ft. I am planning for building 1st floor. I got necessary permission from local municipality.

I want to extend 1-2ft (width) roof area in the front side in 1st floor roof . The extra area shall be on a common path and not mine.

Many people told it is ok in the 1st floor and above. I just want expert opinion. Place: West Bengal, India.

Join date: May 2014		Check with the authority and your locality is they have extended balcony's like you want.

               For municipal by laws and charges you should contact the municipal authority of your area.
