Hi Experts,

We have purchased a house where ground floor of 600 Sft is old around 18 years and extension to ground floor abour 700 Sft is new and their is first floor on top of this house which is also new.

For top floor AAC blocks are used. its a Pillar construction

Old pillars are of 9X9 with 12 MM four rods and the new extension is 18X9 pillar size in total 12 Pillars( 9 Old and the front 3 are new.)

My question is can i get granite flooring on my first floor, will it take the load of granite or should i go with vitrified tiles.

What is the minimum load bearing capacity of such construction. Is it 20 Kg per sqft . I am not able to decide my Engineer is saying its okay you can go but still i am getting bit nervous, so thought you are the right guys to guide.

   In my opinion you go with floor tiles on first floor.
