What size of RCC beam and roof thickness required for span size 17 feet length by 17 feet width without any supporting Columns

12" thick beam is ok with roof thickness of 5".

The size of beam and slab , column should be depend on many factor not only the span of structure. you should consider the load on that structure. in your case i don't think 12" beam depth is enough. at least you should take 1.5' depth because your span is more that 5 mt.
