 Topic: Roof Beam crack
Dear Sir,

Roof beam cracked in my construction when we remove the roof sheet,
kindly explain how to solve the issue in the next roof, find the attached file.

             There are many causes for cracks in the roof beam, it is serious mater if crack is through..
1. The raw materials are not up to specification i.e either you use fine sand or the sand and bazri having clay contents or cement is not from repudiated firm or salty water used in mix.
2. you have Remove the shuttering before time.
3..you have not laid the proper ratio of cement concrete mix i.e either cement is less or there is no proper ratio of coarse sand and bazri.
4. You have not obtained beam design from structural engineer.
5. Either you places  less dia MS bars or not place at appropriate place in the beam or you lay under reinforced or not laid proper dia rings with proper center.
These are many things which lead to crack in the beam.
In my view you should take help from civil engineer  or structural engineer before proceeding to next story.
