 Topic: Plinth beam over stone foundation OR Pillar structure ?
Which one of the following structures is the best for a two floor house in terms of structural cost and earthquake resistance?

a) Stone foundation, Plinth beam, Brick wall, Lintel, Brick wall, Concrete roof

b) Stone foundation, Plinth beam, Brick wall, Lintel, Brick wall, Concrete roof, and pillars connecting the Plinth beam, Lintel and Roof at each corners.

c) Pillar & beam frame work avoiding stone foundation

Dear Vinod

     The option C is the best option. Read articles about all type of construction and interior on the website gharexper.com where you will find lot of artcles which help you in construction.
