i am currently studying civil engineering , 3rd year.i would like to ask whether whatever we learn in RCC design like two way shear design ,one way shear design,column design, is it practically needed to design a building, or there is any other method of designing a roof,stairs,columns??

Hello..! Minhal, Yes ,RCC design of various structures are used practically in the field, from small residential buildings to multi storied  apartments. Also used  to design large bridges,dams, High ways, irrigation structures  etc. It is the base of CIVIL Engineering..so you can design any type of structure depending upon its need...So don't be confused ,there is no short cut method..Study hard...All the best.....
