Need urgent reply...regarding Beam

 Topic: Need urgent reply...regarding Beam
Hi Gupta sir,

I attached the ground floor roof plan of my house, in which the beams marked in the drawing.
My question is the beam which is shown in gf there wall is cuming in first floor but there will be offset of 1' in ground floor, so can we go for the beam or should we shift the beam orientation to the other side of the column, if we do so wall in first floor will not match with beam??? kindly give the solution. column & beam size 6" x 1'6".

        After reading your question I am in view that you should proceed further for laying beam on the same side of wall, do not shift the orientation of beam.If feel any  inconvenience than take beam size 7'' and  take steel bars on column not on wall.Take help from local engineer if needed.

In my opinion you shift beam as per wall orientation and design the beam as discontinuous and check for torsion on support of middle column if need provide extra shear reinforcement on middle column.
