1st floor partition wall through the center of 14ft x 13 ft room rcc roof

 Topic: 1st floor partition wall through the center of 14ft x 13 ft room rcc roof
My house ground floor rcc roof work is about to start next week. The bedroom size is 14ft x 13ft, and in future I want to build two room above the bedroom so as the partition wall will run across the center of the ground floor bedroom roof. So, should I provide a support beam through the center of bedroom roof now? if yes, please specify the size and number of tmt steel also.

         Lay the beam 9''x9'' with 6 nos 12mm bars and 8 mm rings.

Join date: May 2014		You can have that beam in the Lantel itself at the time of roofing. Take size as 7x4 and take atleast 4 or 6 tmt bars of atleast 16 mm each. Follow Mr gupta suggestion above, If the roofing has been already done. It will act as load bearing beam in both the cases.
