 Topic: overhead tank
hello all,
i have both borewell water and corporation water . mine is an independent single house. suggest me on the overhead tanks and its connections. should i keep seperate tanks.

Hi Pallavi,

1.In my opinion first check the water in any laboratory for its potability as per WHO standards. These test can be performed in lab's of either Engineering college or Public Health Engineering Departmental labs.
2.Secondly, check up for hardness of bore water and if hardness its quality and type of hardness, so that necessary softener can be installed.
3.Providing separate overhead tanks has no meaning as the outlet taps will be common. If you propose separate tap and so the pipe line the costing will be uneconomical and also the final usage of water will be for the common purpose.  
4.Hard water will though non injurious to health, it leaves stain marks on the materials, produces less leather with soap, leaves dryness on skin and dulls the hairs luster.
 5. Water can be mixed after treatment for hardness and stored in common water tank.
