 Topic: TMT rod to be used for the structure

Dear Experts,

I am planning to do construct G+2 floor building in 1750 sq feet plot ( 25 x 70). Can you please suggest me what should be column width and the mm diameter TMT rod I should use for the construction.

Also can you please suggest me best quality TMT rod and cement for starting the construction.

Join date: May 2014		The diameter of the rod has to be minimum 16 mm with rings of 12 mm on it. Use any brand cement but the ratio has to be good. The good brands for TMT are Tata Tiscon, Kamdhenu 10000.

      It is better if you have take structural design from any structural engineer. However keep the size of column 9''x12'' with 6 nos dia bars with 8 mm rings @ 4'' c/c with cement concrete ratio 1;1.5;3.Use any of good brand of cement and TMT bars.
