When we bought TMT bars for house, they said it was anti-rust. We had to stop our construction for last 5 months due to some difficulties. Now there is rust on its surface. Is it safe to use it. Or should i contact them. Is it normal for TMT's to have rust on them. I am planning to resume construction soon. It is grade Fe 415

       After long time TMT steel bars having rusting color due to store it in open due to moisture, it is cleaned up to some extent during bending binding by steel binder as they use gunny bag pieces in their hand for handling the bars during bending binding. If you doubt in mind than hire balder give them gunny bag pieces and kerosene oil for cleaning the bars.
