Topic: Query reqarding Foundation & Tie Beam

I'm planning to construct a new house. For which, I have few questions regarding Tie Beam (Concrete column used to connect columns in foundation).

What should be the height/location of Tie beam... at plinth level ?? (and if its at plinth level then what should be underneath of tie beam to support it.. Soil/ Bricks and whether Brick work & DPC is required in this case for dampness prevention) or below ground level ?? (and if its below ground level then whether Brick work & DPC is required. If not, than how dampness will be prevented).

The architect can design the same for you in a better manner. The installation has to be done by a good Civil Engineer.

Dear Gian
There are two ways one is to lay tie beam at plinth level, in this case the outer wall are taken 1feet deep from ground up to the bottom of beam, internal walls not need the wall. Second is to lay tie beam at ground and lay DPC at plinth level.
